Nutrition And “The Super Perfect Abs” Diet

BODY BUILDINGMy, but you didn’t think exercise alone would get you “ripped.” You didn’t really think you could get away without some type of dieting — at least eventually — now did you?

Super perfect abs are a result of both acquiring healthier eating habits, while you’re strengthening those abs for their eventual unveiling. You need mold your health from the inside out — or your results won’t be long lasting.

So let’s take a quick look at what it really means to eat healthy.

Macronutrients?

Do I Really Need Them?

The term macronutrient isn’t one the average person bandies about much on a daily basis. But, the macronutrient is of fundamental importance in your efforts to eat healthy and lose weight. And despite not being totally familiar with the term, you just may be surprised to discover that you already have a good working knowledge of the macronutrients your body uses to nourish itself.

The macronutrients are, in fact, the three broad categories or classes of food which your body requires everyday to keep it running smoothly: protein, fats and carbohydrates. See, I told you that you already knew these nutrients.

But, we’re going to take that knowledge — that you believe you have — and revolutionize the way you view these important building blocks of nutrition. And in the process, we’re going to revolutionize how you view “dieting” and your overall well being in general.

Proteins, fats and carbohydrates are called macronutrients for the simple reason that they make up the largest portion of your overall diet. These nutrients are also the ones responsible for supplying fuel to your cells for energy as well as for the regulation of body heat.

The fuel-burning potential of every macronutrient is expressed in a measurement called “kilocalories.” Now, if that word looks vaguely familiar, it should. We talk about this “fuel-burning potential” constantly — especially if you’re dieting. But we shorten the measurement to just “calories.” And just for the record, one calorie is equal to the amount of energy needed to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree centigrade.

Good grief! You’ll never really need to know that exact definition, but knowing that a calorie is related to raising temperature comes in handy when you’re learning about the requirements of your body. (Just keep this in mind when we talk about metabolism.)

Similarly, the food you eat is seen in terms of calories for convenience sake. It helps us compare the relative energy value of each food item.

Did you know for example, that each macronutrient burns calories at different rates? For example, fats contain nine calories per gram. Proteins and carbohydrates contain four calories per gram.

What To Do With Your New Ferret

So, you have decided that you would like to have a ferret as your new pet. They would make an adorable addition to anyone’s life and to your home. These amazing animals can be trained to use a litter box, just like cats. But before you go ahead and allow your new ferret roam freely around your, you’ll need to take some precautions.

Of course your new ferret should never be let loose in your home. Let it become acquainted with its new surroundings from the comfort of its cage before you decide to let it roam around your home. You must also teach your new ferret how to use a litter box. Depending on your ferret and how much time you spend on litter training, most ferrets will use the litter box about 75% of the time. Some ferrets will use the litter box every time but, with most, you might find a “present” in the house occasionally.

Litter box training may take up to several hours per day for several months. The more time and attention you give to it, the more likely it is that you will have a litter box trained ferret. The best way to begin litter box training is to let your ferret run around a small space, like a bathroom first.

Furry feret friend

Usually, ferrets will use the litter box within a couple of minutes of waking up or after they finish eating. So, when your ferret first wakes up you should put it in the litter box. Make sure he goes to the bathroom before letting him get out of the box. Once it done going, immediately give him a treat. The point is to try to get him to associate going in the litter box, with then receiving a treat. You must never physically punish a ferret for any reason, especially if they have an little accident in the house.

Using physical punishment will only cause them to be afraid of you and they do not associate their behavior with that kind of punishment. If you want your ferret to be able to roam freely around the house, then you need to be willing to a little cleaning up after them sometimes.

Another thing you will need to do before you allow your ferret to run free is to “ferret proof” your house. Ferret proofing means making your home safe for a ferret. They are little curious creatures an d they manage to find their way into small places. A good thing to remember is if their head will fit into a place, then their bodies will too. Start by crawling around your house on your hands and knees while looking for small holes, crevices, loose ventilation covers, etc.

Be sure to check every room that you plan to let your new ferret explore. Remember to inspect appliances for small holes or places that ferrets may be able to get inside of. Ferrets are very curious creatures that are also really good climbers, so anything may become a “play area” for ferrets.

Ferrets may be able to get up into some refrigerators and may have the potential to get hurt on the fan. The dryer tubing also looks like a lot of fun to a ferret. They can tear a hole in it and end up getting outside through the vent. Many couches can also be a potential danger for ferrets, since some of them have thin fabric lining underneath. Ferrets may easily get through the lining and the be able to get up inside of the couch to the springs.

Many ferret owners enjoy allowing their ferret to run around the house and get some extra exercise. But, the most important thing for you new ferret is that they have a safe place to run and have fun.

Declutter And Organize – Seven Rules For Decluttering Your Life

Do you need to declutter and organize your life. Here are several “decluttering rules” that I try to live by. No, I don’t always keep these myself, but they are goals to be attained.

Whether you want to declutter your life because you want to create a more relaxing energy to flow through your home or you just want to walk through your house without tripping, then the following rules will help.

Rule #1: When it doubt, throw it out.

If you haven’t used it in a year – or more – the odds are that it’s just not that important in your life.

Rule #2: Store Objects In The Most Efficient Spaces.

This means that you should place the objects, that you do intend to use, in the most accessible places.

Another useful tip along these lines is to store similar items together. For example, if you have several flower vases, store these together.

Rule #3: Recycle! Recycle! Recycle!

When you think recycling, though, think along creative lines. Take books to booksellers that sell used books or to libraries for their book sales. Recycle newspapers and if possible magazines.

Rule #4: Do The Words Filing Cabinet Ring A Bell?

Got papers? Get a filing cabinet. And the very least get a filing box or boxes.

Rule #5: Get Zen With The Space.

Okay, so this rule is a little cryptic. But it’s still useful. Instead of brewing and stewing over all the clutter you currently have, start visualizing your house as clutter free.

clean and organized

Rule #6: Do It Now!

A lot of the clutter accumulates in our homes simply because we refuse to deal with it “in the moment.”

A good example, of this, is your mail. For instance, every day your postal carrier drops mail off in your mail box. What exactly do you do with that mail? If you’re like most of us, you look through it, set it aside and forget all about it.

Instead of putting everything aside, you could have dealt with this in a more efficient matter. You could have taken the few moments to separate the bills and placed them on your desk in a small container, where you’ll sit the next time you pay them.

Take the junk mail and begin to prioritize that. Mail that doesn’t appeal to you at all throw out immediately. Flyers you may want to look at later – like for your trip to the grocery store – set in a basket to look at later (preferably one close to where you sit in the evening). In this way, their presence triggers you to at least glance through them.

Rule #7: Label Things

In fact, putting your items in bins and labeling them can help you pinpoint with amazing accuracy exactly where the item you’re looking for is really hiding!
